Can anyone suggest how can I set-up home office when I don’t have any constant place to sit and have less space around the home?

At my earlier place, I had a standing desk facing the wall in the living room. Noise cancellation headphones help for work and having the background blurred for video calls. Luckily I had calls rarely - and had to ask people to not be around 🙄 during my call.

This was back in the day. But works well. You don't need much. (Eventually I got a bar stool to sit on). It really helps to have a "set" space to work on and I can't stress on this enough. Without it, your productivity would probably be 1/3rd of what it can be.

Thanks @loud-glass-33663 for suggestions, here are some questions. Hope you’re comfortable to answer. 1. Between ergonomic chair vs standing desk (with a temporary seating in a while) what do you prefer? 2. Have you faced a situation where you have to tolerate noise for some time (like babysitting, having someone also wfh in same home), how did you handle it?

Hey @quaint-architect-26181 not at all.
Between ergonomic chair vs standing desk (with a temporary seating in a while) what do you prefer?
I have since then moved my standing desk to a sitting desk (gotten rid of the bottom construction). I haven't used it in the standing configuration for about 3 years now I think. I have quite a good ergonomic chair which I prefer. The issue with the standing desk was that my bar stool option was not very comfy when I was sitting and it was causing fatigue quickly. We have also since then moved into a larger house so my wife and I share a 3rd bed room as an office. But I had this desk on the corner (from the image above) for a good 5+ years.
Have you faced a situation where you have to tolerate noise for some time (like babysitting, having someone also wfh in same home), how did you handle it?
I had that setup until my daughter was 3yo - so she was always about. Working was OK as I had noise cancellation headphones when I needed to be focussing. For meetings, she would be in her room with the baby sitter. Right now, you have better options with stuff like better noise cancellation headphones and krisp.ai along with blurred backgrounds on all video conferencing apps -- so it should be easier to pull this off. Currently, my wife shares the office with me. We try not to have calls simultaneously - but when we do, one of us (the 2nd one), takes it from the bedroom.
TL:DR;
Your mileage will vary depending on your situation at home. This is definitely more difficult to pull off if you don't have help with a child at home or if your child is very young. (in which case you cannot have noise cancellation headphones on for safety reasons). But with a little planning and investment, it is easily achievable.

If you have less than 1hr of meeting a day (and use Windows or Mac) you could use krisp.ai for free. Or you could pay for the paid version (or ask your company to pay) and get unlimited minutes.

could anyone recommend good noise cancellation headphones also or tell me what you use ..

A bit pricey, but Sony XM4 is quite good. Best in class sound quality, noise cancellation, gesture controls, built in assistant button, multi-device connectivity. I've had it for 1.5 years, no complaints so far. Bought for 21K.

+1 for XM4, have had it for 1.5 years as well, I'm not an audiophile by any means, but it has great noise cancellation and gesture controls, which I mainly use, and have no complaints
