🤔 I have been thinking about stopping writing personal essays ( RI Brew newsletter) because - I am sharing a narrative which is very personal. The steps I am taking are not necessarily gonna be very useful for other people.
"The danger is that your life becomes fiction, you fall into the trap of pretending that you live this great life. Instead, you must remember the reality, focus on the real world and work hard."
"Instead of pretending that we are living some great story, we must remain focused on the execution—and on executing with excellence. We must shun the false crown and continue working on what got us here."
Happy to hear what your thoughts are 😊
I still have a long way to go. I want to be a student and not tell stories.

I also started a personal newsletter last year, wrote some 20 posts consistently but gave up for the same reason. I felt that I was becoming all say and no work. Also, since I lack experience, my advice/insights might not be as accurate as I would want them to be. So I stopped doing that and decided to focus on real results (no talking).

Thanks @rough-autumn-89795 for sharing your experience. Really appreciate it :) I want to add that I will keep sharing in slack what I am trying for eg. Done before lunch but then this will be pretty raw. For newsletters, I tried to take this raw thing and make it coherent. Which I am not sure is a good use of my time.

True, too many newsletters to follow these days, you have to make sure yours will stand out if you want people to keep reading them (I unsubscribed from derek sivers newsletter because other newsletters had better content).

Hey Avi, curious to know your top 3 newsletter subscriptions! Sivers is really good, seems like you've come across great writing.

@gorgeous-shoe-63164 Top 3 would be Justin Jackson, Paul Jarvis and AJA Cortes. These provide the maximum value as per my current goals.
