Is there anyone working (or even aiming to transition into) an AI/ML/Data Science field? Would love to understand what you would want to see in beginner!

@many-intern-37109 I'd be honored!

@helpful-car-16133 I'd say learning about business comes first before all of that. I'm in descriptive data analytics and connecting Business-Data and KPIs is a priority. Starting with basic analytics will help you too on moving and learning ML/AI etc

That makes a lot of sense @swift-pilot-25722. Thanks for connecting! What kind of projects would you suggest. Working remotely has kind of added 15 hours extra in my week and a surplus of energy. Also other than solo missions, would you know of any internships/opportunities (unpaid works too) that I could look into.

Work on having solid foundations in Statistics, Programming and Machine Learning. Applied Machine Learning is having good skills in programming and feature engineering for which you need to know how to work around the data and to prepare it for the models. Build end to end Data Science projects for your portfolio. Participate in kaggle hackathons, check out kaggle kernels and there are really good publications you could follow on Medium such as Towards Data Science. I would also advise blogging about what you learn. Focus more on the Exploratory Data Analysis and feature engineering part, those are valuable skills. There are good books on it.

@helpful-car-16133 Help us figure out how to use data better? Project is not yet public but you can give it a try at https://frozen-lake-30474.herokuapp.com Can't afford to pay since this isn't a company or anything.
