Quick question. What mouse are you folks using?
I used to buy a basic wired Logitech Mouse M100r (400 odd bucks - https://amzn.to/2FDGzsl) First one lasted me 15 months. Bought a new one β€” second one lasted me about 12 months. Both had similar issue of losing connectivity with machine and I would need to replug the USB which is a pain. Finally thought of getting a higher level of mouse hoping it would last me atleast a few years. Got a Logitech Gaming mouse (even though I don’t game) β€” G102 (for about Rs. 1600 odd - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01MYPU20Z) Have been having a major single click -> logs as double click issue (seems to be quite common) β€” 10 months into it 😞 Looking for a new mouse again. Any suggestions? I work from home - so have a proper desk setup and would prefer a wired / large mouse (not the travel / laptop kinds)
I actually would not mind investing even more in a good quality mouse β€” but I once had a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard (they are super expensive) and even after that, it died on me in under 2 years. The only thing that has lasted me 3+ years is my trusty TVS Gold Bharat mechanical keyboard.

Been using this basic wireless keyboard and mouse combo since Nov 2016 https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00PFFCMV0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am using Logitech M590 from more than a year. It is working great.

If you are thinking of apple magic mouse, do not buy if you plan to do heavy mouse usage. The mouse is not fully practical, specially for designers, and that too at such a pricy tag. I found an old logitech wired gaming mouse way more comfortable than magic mouse. You might want to look at this one from logitech that one of my friend recommended me. - https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/options/page/flow-multi-device-control

Thanks for the great suggestion guys. No β€” not looking for the Apple Magic Mouse. It is too hip for me 😊 I essentially want a mouse which will fit nicely around my hands. (I am 6' 1" - so have large hands). The Logitech MX Master 2S looks interesting but is a little pricey. Lets see…
All excellent options actually. Might end up spending sometime over the weekend comparing and mouse shopping πŸ˜›

Some recommendation for battery as well for wireless mouse? i use to change mine every 2-3 months using Duracell AA
l
@some-crowd-70690 If you have other battery requirements as well, I would recommend getting Eneloop batteries. https://amzn.to/2xeYP6U along with a charger - https://amzn.to/2YipUSF (charges both AA and AAA cells) It is a one time investment but over a period of time, you save huge amounts on batteries. I have slowly replaced all regular batteries in my house with these AA and AAA batteries. I generally have 2 extra which I keep charged for quick replacements β€” but otherwise these charge overnight and last quite long.
The only thing is I would not use them for electronics & devices which I don’t use regularly β€” and wall clocks (they don’t recommend using rechargeable for clocks β€” I have always had issues with them). In addition I generally have a secret stash (hidden from wife & kids) of 10 AA and 10 AAA cells for emergencies πŸ˜‰

Personally, I think the magic mouse is utter crap... most of the Mac OS gestures are like muscle memory to me, and the magic mouse is really bad when it comes to gesture support, I personally prefer the magic trackpad 2 [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016QO5YWC/] to a mouse any day of the week ... that said, I wouldn't suggest this for anything other than MacOS and unless you use the gestures

I have Logotech's wireless one for last 6 years. No issues whatsoever.

Which one @acceptable-flag-71699?

I had the same issue with the G102 within a few months of getting it. Got it replaced from the service center.
I also use B170 (bluetooth Logitech) at work. It works like a charm and is really inexpensive as well.

Small portable wireless mice aren't very comfortable imo, especially for longer periods of usage. Rather get a bigger mouse with side buttons if portability is not a requirement. Something like the G402 should be pretty good imo. Or if the budget allows, the MX Master 2S.

Thanks everyone for indulging me with your comments and pointers around mouses (did you know MOUSE stands for: Manually Operated User Selection Equipment? Learnt today 🀷 ) I have gone ahead and put some money into the Logitech MX Master 2 MS. It is a bit on the pricier side but given that couple of folks recommended + it is a LARGE mouse + it has an ongoing lightning deal, kinda pushed me to get it and see what the fuss is all about (https://amzn.to/2FHaJen) Will let you guys know how it goes with an update. Expected in a couple of days. Thanks again all. Really appreciate it! πŸ™
