Where are you investing the additional time (and money sometimes) that you save by working remotely?
Just curious to see what everyone hopes to achieve in a couple of years of working remotely with the bonus time?
I can go first. I have felt for quite a long time now (thanks to: Your Money or your Life - https://amzn.to/2FFwifo - a very underrated book) — that eventually, the way to get out of the rat race is to have a profitable indie business (initially on the side, hopefully full time in the long run). Exchanging time for $$ is not a good match for me in the long term. So working on that front. Have a couple of ideas on which I have done some amount of work. Hoping to push some out soon and see how it goes. 🤞

I spent a lot of time with family and pets, and had a very relaxed life. No solid achievements in the time span as such, but hoping to change that soon

I work mainly on my side projects and am planning to launch about 4 products and create a good community of people. I am doing it for about 2 years now but not exact remote working per se. I have been freelancing and the best I would say is investing the time to do something I love.

Similar for me ^^ Spend a lot of time with family, relaxed life. My strategy on getting out of the rat race is to invest money as much as possible, and FI as quickly as possible.

Pretty cool! Relaxing and spending time with family is a big deal and highly under-rated. It is pretty cool that we are able to pull this off while working full time. My last couple of years have been similar - been more available at home for family. Nice to know that lots of remote folks are in a similar place. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
