Hey folks! Looking for SMS Gateway recommendations in India for transactional messages. If you have used any which have good API access, please recommend. +100 for Zapier integration. Thanks ๐Ÿ™

@eager-boots-72859 if I remember correctly, you were looking for something similar some time back. Did you have any success with any of the tools/services ?

Thanks @calm-grass-85557 for the link. Unfortunately it does not have any SMS recommendations. Hopefully we can get some this time.

I did try out Twilio but its a bit expensive. Havent tried the apps that target Indian market though.

https://msg91.com/ Used this for food talk with over 10K+ active users and SMS as only way to login. pretty reliable with good customer service and super easy integration and all. Though, it's been couple of year since I have used it so not sure about the current state but should be fine.

*India only.

It seems like Sendinblue does have an SMS plan.

Msg91 has a GET API to send SMSes โ€” I donโ€™t think it will get easier than that to integrate even if they are not on Zapier.

Get for sends is.... Wierd? But if it works, it works. You can setup a post request on zapier I think. I was in ifttt ecosystem before zapier became famous, so still use it.

@tall-postman-9284 Yep. They have a POST API as well - I agree GET is weird - but I guess it makes it super easy in many cases. I am sure Zapier has a POST call as well that I can use.
t
Their apis are all get, including password change. Send message v2 is post which is an exception. It's the most used call, so atleast that's better than nothing. I wonder who designed their api.

umm.... Its interesting though. While working with it, we were able to purchase, setup, develop, test and push to live testing servers under a day. It was a breeze to work with. I know it sounds technically incorrect to post messages through a get call, but mobile front-end devs (iOS and android) actually liked it this way.

Hey @loud-glass-33663 Did you try 160by2.com I have been using them for personal use and they seems to have enterprise edition.
l
Hey @creamy-dawn-73235 Thanks for the suggestion. I havenโ€™t tried them as yet. I eventually ended up signing up with msg91.com for now as these guys were super aggressive in helping me setup and get started. Seem to be working pretty well as well. Will definitely take a look. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ‘
