I see posts about Bluetooth headsets, securty camera etc here. Is #tribe essentially #random ?

tbh I dont know whats the difference 🙂 the topic doesnt indicate either

I was thinking this channel is about remote working etc and mostly have been posting in #random only. Checked this channel after a long time today.

I was about to request Abhishek to archive one of the two channels. Both seem to serve a similar purpose.

Yep, I am equally confused atm. We definitely need some clarity here. I like @faint-energy-11966 suggestion. Don't think it would hurt us if we had one space for everything. @polite-secretary-64403 Should we do a poll on whether to archive one of the channels (and combine the 2 channels)?

I see #tribe as a channel to post about anything related to this community (remote work), whereas #random as anything else under the sun.

I see tribe more as a place for asking for support / help from the community for whatever reason. Random I use mostly for stuff I would like to share but not necessarily expect replies, etc.

Yeah, it's been organic so far, so I wouldn't recommend any form of gatekeeping by collapsing the two together. It's okay if people can't figure out where to post, we can always nudge them in the right direction.
