Heyo tech people, Has anyone ever tried to outsource freelance software development work? If yes, how did you source devs for the same?

Not my own work - but got it done for a friend. Upwork. They are functional but you need to spend plenty of time verifying their work. Is everything hooked up properly or just rendering dummy data? etc. (I ended up doing a React Native app for a friend and ended up hiring a Gurgaon based company - billing at almost $25 - $30 per hour if I remember correctly).

This type of arrangement wont work for me. I need someone to work on things end to end for an old client on a project that I worked on. The client insists that I find him someone as they don't want to deal with another dev.

I have, recently, from my local tech community. Can share leads if you need. (they're mostly Javascript programmers)
