Anyone have an external web cam? I have a fairly large monitor and and want to mount a web cam on top. I bought the logitech c270 but it was pretty bad. Extremely small FOV and made me look zoomed in. What are your recommendations?

I use a logitech c930e
you can see it in action here:

it sits on top of my primary monitor to the right (a 27" screen)

i recently bought lenovo 1080p webcam for 2800. it's the only 1080p webcam (branded) available at this price range. happy about the quality https://www.amazon.in/dp/B08KT89BWX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_V62PAD0ACVJQ8BJM4V13?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

If you still haven;t bought, Try the Fingers brand. Their webcam works well for me

@broad-camera-13514 My philosophy is that if you're going to be a long-time remote worker, you don't want to skimp on infrastructure that allows you to have flawless video calls. That includes a great webcam, a noise-cancellation mic (Indian cities are noisy and you don't want to be the one with the noisy background in a call) and fast wired internet. BTW, the webcam does come down to ~9K occassionally - just add it to your Amazon wishlist and keep checking.

@helpful-gigabyte-47939 Makes sense man, will be doing that. I got a lenovo but it sucked and returned it. What mic and headphones do you use?

Like @creamy-sundown-74328 I use the Logitech c922's mic and normal speakers for most calls. I use a Sennheiser PXC550 for my headphone / mic when I need noise cancellation for myself (neighbour drilling, dog barking, etc.)
