Anyone knows something like Apple Mac Mini for ubuntu/windows? I plan on having this for gaming connected to monitor but think a laptop or desktop is not the best purchase.

They are called NUCs. Just search for one on Amazon.

Depending on how much gaming horse-power you need out of this box, it may or may not be sufficient.

Thanks guys. I checked the reviews, they aren’t good. TBH it seems it would be better to get Mac Mini and install windows/ubuntu on that. 😅 (which just seems weird).

If you want one for gaming then it's just best to get a gaming laptop. You'll be limited in your options without a good GPU

You can look at one of the Ryzen Pro ones with vega 8/10 based iGPUs if they may be good enough for you. There are bunch of these available from minisforum who ship to India via a forwarder, or can get from aliexpress etc.
HX90 (based on Ryzen 5900HX) and X500 (based on Ryzen 5700G) are the latest ones from minisforum

Yeah. I checked it out. But saw in a youtube video that the M1 Mac Mini outperforms it in many benchmarks. So I guess since cost is similar, it doesn’t make sense to buy. 🤔

Beware that M1 doesn’t support Windows natively via Bootcamp (at least for now) and you’ll be stuck using Parallels, also, Ubuntu (or any Linux) support is also very experimental at the moment, so get M1 mac only if you can continue using macOS. Otherwise, go for building a custom PC based on Ryzen APU as you can do away without discrete GPU (which prices and availability are a problem) and still get decent gaming perf for most older AAA titles.

SteamDeck (once it’s available) might fit the bill, based on your expectations for gaming

Cost is no where similar. For a similar spec (16G + 512G) mac mini, you will have to shell out almost 50% extra money. + you can extend the other PCs RAM further down the line if you need. Also, if your prime purpose is gaming, then many of the games won't even run on the mac
