Hey Guys, I have a couple of questions regarding the full body checkup. I am planning to do a full body checkup for the first time, hence a bit confused. • Is a Vitamin profile test (Vitamin D and Vitamin B12) important to include in a full body checkup? • Are the results from Thyrocare reliable? (faced an instance in the past where the results were totally opposite of what they actually should be)

I had a bad neck ache back in 2015, for which I was suggested to test Vitamin B deficiency, and it turned out to be true (common among vegetarians), and one of the reason for joint pain in general.

On the vitamin profile, there is a wide deficiency in both D & B12 in India. It is really worthwhile catching this. Sedentary work, without a lot of time in the sun is usually an aggravating risk factor for Vitamin D. My (non-expert) opinion - should make this a necessary part of your annual check up. Also just to point out Vitamins are named weirdly - Vitamins B1 and B12 are not related. 🙂 Also a small hack, some insurance policies cover an annual health check up. The markup because if this “addon” is less than the cost of the checkup - because few people use the benefit. Have used Thryocare multiple times, via a medical center/hospital without a problem - no scientific way to answer reliability.

I don't have insurance yet, so I think this is not an option for me 🥲 I have practo premium membership (courtesy of my org), and there are two full body checkup packages for working professionals. One with 60 tests and the other with 63 tests, the main difference is the "addon" vitamin profile tests. However, this results in a drastic change in costs (>2X). Hence, I was wondering what's so special about these tests, and should I include them or not. But, I get your point, it's better to be safe than sorry 🙂

Recently tried healthians. Took the basic screening package. Must say the reports are quite good. They dumb things down very well and by default their reports have your history as well if you test with them. I don't know about reliability, but the report is definitely the most useful one I have seen. Vitamin D is super important IMO. Work from home had messed up my level severely. Deficiency has been linked to onset of depression as well.

@crooked-kitchen-48735 Can you please share the name of the package? There are quite a few basic screening packages on offer.
