There is a domain name (not with me) that's about to expire. I would love to be the person who gets that once it is available. Does anyone has experience/ideas/tips about being the first to get an expiring domain? 🤔

I had bought an expired domain from a marketplace by bidding on it before it was released expired. Had used this service: https://www.namesilo.com/Marketplace Might be worth checking if it is listed on any marketplace if it is not already being used. DM me with the domain and we can look it up.

Doesn't the existing owner get the first option to renew?

Yup, they do. But if they wanted to renew, why not do it on time 😅

Snapnames is another great option for backordering. https://www.snapnames.com/how-to-backorder-domain-name.action
