I use the Maono AU-A04 its pretty good 👍
b
I am leaning towards the Fifine T669 cause the reviews say Maono is too plasticy

+1 for the Maono. Pretty good for the price. Have used it to record talks and courses.
m
I’ve gifted the Maono to a friend in the past, great mic for the price

@best-animal-3294 Which one did you get? I am planning to buy one for video calls and live classes. I wonder if the ones you keep on desk would be enough? This setup with stands looks too clunky
b
@faint-energy-11966 Split between the FiFine K669 vs T669. Difference is 1k but I know I will only use the desk tripod. The other reason to get the T669 is the detachable cord. I think I will end up buying the K669. As a starter that looks better

@faint-energy-11966 mounting on a desk stand will make it pick a lot of keyboard and laptop fan noises. From my experience, the most clear audio was when keeping the mic 6 inches from your mouth on a boom arm with gain at ~20%. (This was with the Elgato wave 3. I don’t have any of the above mics, but I think this applies to all condenser mics)

@melodic-jordan-81418 Is the noise component prevalent in all "condenser" mics? Any alternatives for that?
m
@faint-energy-11966 Yes. The only option is a noise filter like krisp, but that will mean slightly worse audio quality. I don't think there's any other option as it's basic physics. If the noise source is closer to the mic than your mouth, it will definitely be louder

@best-animal-3294 Did you consider the K730? https://www.amazon.in/dp/B095V48T44/?psc=0
