What tech stack(end to end, FE to BE to CI/CD to Hosting services) do you recommend for a personal blog?
f
• Jekyll / Hugo as static site generator (can go with Nextjs too but I find Jekyll and Hugo be most mature generators) • CI/CD isn't really needed but you cam still have it for things like HTML proofing, markdown linting etc. As for CI itself, GitLab CI (I'm biased, and also, Travis and GitHub Actions are not quite there yet). • Netlify for DNS and hosting. For all those choices you'd make, only domain cost is what you'd pay, rest everything is free.

GitHub Pages and if needed GitHub Actions should serve you well for a personal blog.

Try ghost.org I have been using this on my blog, it gives you a dashboard like medium for managing and creating posts. You can set it up on a droplet for 5$ or there is also a nextJS/Gatsby jamstack way to deploy it. I recently shifted to the nextjs theme and deploy it via vercel. https://deepinder.me

Go with what ever framework you are comfortable with. I suggest cloning a theme which looks good and start publishing posts first. Then you can modify/tweak the parts you want. For hosting, I'd recommend vercel or netlify. Recently came across Cloudflare Pages which is amazing. The free tier has unlimited bandwidth. (they charge for number of builds).
