Hey #tribe Anyone has deployed a large scale nextjs website? E-commerce so not static. What are you using for hosting?
n
I havent deployed a large scale application using nextjs but have deployed some small scale projects before using https://www.netlify.com/

Render.com is good

+1 for render

I don’t know how Netlify does is - but their front end hosting is blazing fast. Would recommend.

I’d recommend Vercel for a Nextjs website

Vercel is the creator Next js. Tbh go hand in hand. It's one of the easiest sites to deploy.

Thanks guys. Evaluated all of them. Decided to go with next.js for now. The only thing that is bothering me right now is cost of parallel builds is way too much.
a
Interesting. I've never used parallel builds. Do you have a specific use case where you need parallel builds ?

@acceptable-summer-68562 I mean concurrent builds. 😅
a
Yes, I would still love to know what use case you have for lot of concurrent builds. Is it the team ?
d
Yeah. We have multiple people working on the project.
a
I think you should be fine as long as it's not a big team and you don’t have all of them waiting for the builds to finish. It would just queue the builds. I would first test if “builds” are actually a bottleneck for the productivity of the team.

I've done so, at several places. We've used either vercel.com or our own VPS for hosting
