Hey guys, I am looking to hire for a personal project of mine but to do so, I am asked to fill in the company name as a mandatory field. I don't have a company registered as yet, so should I just fill in with Personal project or something similar? I used to love the "I am looking to work with.." format that was in place earlier and I do understand the need for a comprehensive job portal. But the job portal makes interacting with freelancers a little harder is what I feel. I maybe wrong and might as well the be the only one who thinks so but I'd like to bring it to the notice of the community to see if we could make interactions more organized and easy.

Akilesh, I agree that it's much easier to ping someone on Slack rather than sending them an email. If it's urgent, then as a workaround, you can enter the company name as "Personal Project" and mention your slack email id, so that you are tagged in the relevant post on #work-opportunities. I am hoping folks will ping you on Slack then. Happy to hear what others have to say.
