I work remotely and thinking to relocate to Bangalore, but am not sure how to pick the location because I can literally live wherever I want. Looking for some advise from fellow RIs.

As you said, you can literally live anywhere! I intend to do long term travels. Like staying a 4-12 months at a place. I have stayed in bangalore for year and half. Same in Bali, Indonesia. I’m currently at my parents’ place for a bit now. I intend to travel again second half of 2022
I intend to explore a bit of india this time around. Things like Goa, North East, North, etc
For bangalore, stay close to happening places cause you don’t want to waste your time on traffic (which is horrible). I used to stay in koramangala (4th and 6th block). It’s a lovely area. Lot of greenery, peaceful and a lot of happening places and pubs nearby
My advice is, explore around to find a general area you like. And then go on foot to find a place to stay
That’s actually how I found a place in Koramangala. Just strolling around in the area.

Indiranagar/Koramangla are the happening places as @acceptable-summer-68562 recommended, rent might be high at these places, so can look for areas in 3 KM radius, avoid going too far or the traffic will consume your life, great restaurants, breweries, venues for events (comedy, plays), etc all congregated in these 2 locations Local OG food can be found ~10Kms from the place (use the weekends for the same), tons of great places serving some crazy idli, vada, dosa and filter coffee Indiranagar would be close to Cubbon Park, MG Road, Brigade Road (again happening places, but mostly commercial with very little living space close by)

Ejipura and 7th Block Koramangala are relatively cheap and still in/near Koramangala.
