Tribe, here is a question. Over a longer period of time, what makes more sense. Having a remote life style and being in Europe. Or getting a work visa and working in Europe. How I see this is that countries like Portugal are giving long term visa to stay and work remotely. This gives the flexibility to move to anywhere else and also work for companies/startup who are want you to be in Europe. Whereas working with European Visa, is all about maybe settling down in that country for min 3-4 years, working with average salary of that country (even higher) and be in higher standard of living nations - Germany, Netherlands or UK

You're asking us to comment what you might like without knowing about your personal goals, likes/dislikes, constraints, etc. Don't you have relatives for that? :-) Nomad visas are: • temporary by nature • allow flexibility - you don't have to settle - new year, new country • may not always have a path to residency • lower bar for the visa that allows you to find jobs locally after moving there Residence permits are: • Harder to get since you need a local company to sponsor your visa • Work best if you want to settle down in the country • If you change your mind, you need to repeat in another country

This is a very personal choice and I feel it does not yield answers no matter how many people I ask. This a question for you. I have lived in Hamburg (job + residence permit), loved my life there, became a nomad from there and then left Europe. I wanted to be and stay a nomad. If Europe really matters to you then you need to find out what is it you like about it: settled life in a city or roaming around (since Europe is perhaps the easiest continent to roam around). Try out your options and you will know.

@gray-tomato-53815 I believe this might be country dependent but I don't think it should be an issue in most countries as long as you can show enough income.
