Hi Everyone, I've been thinking to get a chair for around 15ish. I saw some good and bad reviews of every chair available out in the market. I'm pretty confused which to go for? Like, Featherlite Liberate/Astro/Versa/Opus, Greensoul 10k ones, etc. I also saw this that some featherlite one's don't have lumbar support or they say dynamic lumbar support. Does this make a huge difference in good posture, backpains, etc?
m
if you have a featherlite showroom, go and visit and try out the chairs. Good lumbar support is a must for me, because of my disc compression problem.

@modern-table-48211, Which one do you use? Store is a bit far from here. Though that's my last resort as it'll take my whole day.
m
I used to use Featherlite Optima when I was in India. I think its no longer available and you can look at Liberate.

Yep that's one

I liked the build quality from transteel as well. Had bought this https://wfh.transteel.com/product/fluid-basics-mesh-high-back-chair-with-1d-adjustable-arms/ last year and still like it.

I can vouch for Featherlite quality. I have chairs around since 2009/10 which are still going strong - with the occasional replacement of castors. I agree with Sathyajit that going and trying out a chair is quite important and if possible, make that pilgrimage because this chair you will use 8h daily for the next 5-6 years at least. (Unless a friend nearby has a chair you like and you have used it - then you can blindly buy it online). When I bought my current chair, my heart was set on another chair. But when I visited the store, I ended up liking this better and I am glad I did because I'd have been disappointed with my original choice.

I'll see if I can push for Optima. Which one do you use @loud-glass-33663? But trying to grab information as much as I can but will buy after the pilgrimage only šŸ˜…

would highly recommend to not buy chairs from amazon.

Hey @dry-stone-10331, I am using an Embody chair. The one I went to buy was the Aeron Task Chair.

I'm loving it as first impression. I'll update here after using for a week or so. May it help someone.

My experience so far: • It's quite comfortable. • I used my friend's chair which gave me back pain and I was feeling like held in somewhere but this feels like super spacious and comfy. • [āš ļø]The Quality overall looks good though I'm not sure if it's worth 23k. The hand rest, head rest feel like quite cheap quality and feels loose. Not to mention the mesh on back also got loose. I hope it doesn't get more loose over the time.
