What's result of this burnout? Not liking work/team?

You can try pair programming if possible. You can try pick tasks which you like. You can take break, and take some coding exercises/course to re-learn. I have all these. Good if they help, OR else someone else can recommend. Also, I go on youtube/books for motivation when I am low on it to do the hard things

Hey @chilly-lock-4986, I am not a counsellor and since you say you have been facing this situation for some time, I would suggest you to meet a professional counsellor (psychologist). I am personally indebted to the ones I have for much clarity in my life. With that said, here are few things I can share/suggest: 1. Burnout is usually the symptom of underlying stress, can be physical/mental or both 2. Ask yourself how you sleep 3. Do you take care of yourself - like eating well, spending time with loved ones, doing things you like (outside job) 4. Does food, movies, music, travel, motivate you enough to seek them? 5. Is your burnout affecting only your work or life in general? 6. If it is your only job, and you have a feeling there is no way out, then plan an exit; once you set a goal to change, it could motivate you toward that 7. If you feel more than your job is affected, then look at taking a long break, if you can 8. Don't force yourself to like a job or team or career even. It is OK to think about alternatives All of the above questions are for yourself to introspect, you do not need to share here. Lastly, and very important: job is for a purpose - happy life (financial ability to get there, but happiness is not defined by it). This job (any job) is not the only way to get there. Burnouts usually point to a culmination of pent up anxiety, stress and other factors. Happiness is not a given, and one can take steps to find out what makes us less stressed and more happy. You have understood and accepted you are stressed. Awesome step, many suffer silently. Take small steps to introspect the cause, ask for help. Take professional guidance as needed.

I was also in similar bandwagon few years ago. @wide-carpet-65149 has written an awesome note; hopefully that should help you. At that time, what helped me was reading Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's book "Flow". I realized that I was getting stressed out because of the constant distractions. Now I ensure that I have 2-3 hours of work without any distraction daily and that helps me keeping the work stress at bay and I haven't had that "burnout" feeling since quite long.

All great stuff, need to try these out. And I've been having the same feeling for something. Just left one of the project to get some lax time. I can say when I'm getting something done it feels good for sure so that flow thing is true. Just the problem is right now I'm getting it only once in a week or two. And seems like I'm heavily distracted for sure.

I recently published a detailed article on the same. I suffered a bad case of burnout couple of months back and shared my learnings overcoming it - https://medium.com/wholistique/10-simple-practices-that-cured-my-burnout-a1b26f43ad5d?sk=a6dfc32a30b4c44beb2f1bdcd5216455
