Any new recommendations for desk chairs? The last time we discussed this topic, Featherlite Liberate and Green Soul Gaming chairs were recommended.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but this IKEA Adde chair has been best for me. Been using it for almost 3 years now and haven't faced any issues. https://www.ikea.com/in/en/p/adde-chair-black-70214286/#content

depending on budget - Steelcase, Herman Miller

I am using Green soul gaming chair. Wouldn't recommend. Not really worth the price

Interesting. My perspective is completely opposite. 😅 Since everyone recommends office chairs, initially I purchased Featherlite Versa. Found the mesh back to be very flimsy and poor. Recently upgraded to Greensoul Monster Ultimate and its much better than Versa thanks to the back and neck support

Could be. Maybe it is the way I sit. @faint-energy-11966 Do you have a keyboard tray that you use? For me biggest complain is that arm rest/seat size is too big for my body frame
f
I don't have a keyboard tray. Btw, Monster Ultimate has two versions. One for taller people above 5'10 and one for people below 5'10 I bought the shorter version and its fine for me.

@mysterious-yak-23452 It's also possible that Featherlite experience could be better on their expensive high back chairs with neck support. Versa vs Monster Ultimate may not be an apples to apples comparison
I also have a motorized desk so I try to move positions whenever possible

True. But the only difference between the 2 versions is the height adjustments. What I am not happy with is the seat size. Indicated by Q and J here in 1 of the photo with dimensions mentioned

you guys are focused on the quality and appearance but would suggest to focus on comfort as well. though individual preference matters, there is a reason why the overseas brands charge a lot because they are more ergonomically sound and give better back support which you wont feel or know until you experience pain. would urge to try out as much as possible and not cheap out here because this has health implications down the line
This has been a great companion for me in EU. Ikea is selling them at a great price in India

@brash-monitor-80970 - my pin code is not serviceable for IKEA and GreenSoul on Amazon.
And GreenSoul is charging 2.5k extra on their own website.
f
Check Flipkart? Also if you give a pincode of very close area where delivery is covered, the delivery partner will handle the logistics (with possibly a small delay) Works for me. I live in an area with a relatively new pincode so most portals don't recognize it. I am able to receive packages by providing pin of a nearby location

@hundreds-winter-88791 Its difficult to get IKEA producs for sure. I used a trick sometime ago (not on IKEA). Got and item delivered to a friends house and he forwarded it to me via one of the local travells company. See if that is something that works for you :-)

Someone mentioned paying premium for overseas chair brands for good back health and I just wanted to add that no kind of chair can outperform squats and deadlifts when it comes to back health and posture. I'd rather invest time in that and buy a good enough chair for your budget.
h
@acceptable-summer-68562 - people with back condition (me) can't do deadlifts anymore! 😕
a
offcourse it wouldn’t apply to people who already have an back injury/condition 🙂 I just meant it for people who slouch all day without any exercise and expect their newly bough expensive high end chair to fix all their back problems (I used to be one of them lol).
