SmartDesk Full Black - 150x75 CM (5 x 2.5 Ft)
f
Anyone tried https://www.flowlyf.com Flow Desk 2 ?
b
I went with Wooden top and black legs. 150x75cm. Honestly though I think I should've gone for 180x75cm instead, but it seemed like it might be a tad bit unstable from the middle but nothing to worry about
I might end up getting another normal desk and create an L shaped desk if possible, 150cm is too small
b
150 cm is a 6 seater dining table lol
f
You'll be surprised how quickly gadgets and other stuff can take up space on your desk. For WFH, I think its prudent to get a slightly larger desk.
b
I agree, 150cm is too small for me even though I only have a single external monitor, I'll need major refactoring to fit in a 2nd monitor if I ever need one
le me finding excuses to share setup pics First it starts off neat:
Then you add big ass speakers, and the space is already gone
Then one day you no longer have space to move your hands, so you drown your sorrows with upbeat kpop
f
Which split keyboard is that? 👀

Lotus58 🙈 Still learning so not really productive with it (I decided to go colemak-dh since I couldn't touch type anyways). Trusty Rs 600 logitech still going strong since years 🤣!
g
I trained for Colemak using https://www.keybr.com/ First 2 weeks was hell. It's really a different feeling to try and remember the spelling of each word as we type. Been using for 2 years now, I think I started to not think words letter by letter after a month and a half(ish). I'm wondering if the double switch from QWETY -> COLEMAK and Staggerd -> Columnar would be more/less easy. 😂

b
Yeah using keybr too! Do you use vim (or evil-mode), because after I learn to type I need to relearn all vim muscle memory too. I found some evil-colemak packages, wondering if I should use those or just relearn the new places (that doesn't make sense to me though, I'd want atleast directional keys on the homerow)
g
I actually learned colemak before vim. But the hjkl issue is there.

b
Did you remap those or learnt the colemak positions for hjkl, which feel awkward to me (but so does colemak haha)
g
I honestly don't use vim a lot 😂 I used the colemak positions. But mainly, I used karabiner key combos to map F + [J,K,L,;] to [Down, Up, Left, Right] Code: https://github.com/sidharthv96/dotfiles/blob/master/.config/karabiner.edn

Ooooo! Thanks for sharing, hadn't heard about Karabiner. (It uses .edn files, clojure? 😻 Must check it out) Ahhhh! It's Goku which is in clojure. Cool stuff!
g
Yaa, Goku makes writing configs 100x easier.
