My primary worry has been carrying all my setups like Monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc to a different town if I want to work remotely from somewhere else for a change. My laptop is really small, cannot work without my setup. Does anyone else face a similar issue? how did you fix this?

My laptop is really small,
cannot work without my setup.
What kind of work do you do that makes it impossible/hard to do it on the laptop? What's missing on your laptop? Hi-res display? screen real-estate? Insufficient CPU/GPU-compute? uncomfortable ergonomics, missing mouse-accuracy? Something else?

You can try one of those portable monitors by the likes of ViewSonic. That's what I plan to do when I start travelling. After upgrading to a monitor setup, even I cannot handle working directly from my laptop. Small screen, low brightness are a nightmare for my eyes and neck.

@chilly-rocket-77832 ergonomics mostly. Sorry, I meant monitor in place of desktop.

Echoing @faint-energy-11966 and have the Arzopa and HP models for cheap from Amazon. Easy to carry it to office and reasonably sharp
Keyboard is Logitech K380 with bluetooth and able to map 3 devices so can handle mobile, laptop

I've been using ipad as a second screen, phone as the webcam. I've heard bad reviews about the viewsonic screen, how is it?

i have the Arzopa model and so far has one dead pixel. But otherwise works without a hitch and powered by a single USB-C cable at 1920 x 1080 display so reasonably sharp at 15.6" size

When I travel I use my old ipad as a second screen. - Newer models have side car built in - i use the application called duet to use it as a second screen as its a 5th gen ipad 9.7" - side car released for the newer versions. Noticed how I was getting addicted to a mechanical keyboard and mouse so I restricted myself to use only my mac keyboard and track pad to not have to carry more devices. I also use this slim stand to help with my ergonomics of my Macbook screen Not this particular model but similar stand for usage as it is portable : link
Also I always carry my type c to HDMI dongle - There are numerous times I find an extra screen or a TV where I am staying to just connect it and start using it. Have found screens in hotels / co working spaces , even in Parvati Valley (a village called Pulga ), in a wooden homestay they had a screen which was there with the intent of security cameras , as the set up for security camera was not working so I ended up using it for the few weeks I stayed at that place. (I know its a very optimistic approach 😛 ) Attaching a picture from a cafe with iPad as second screen in link below https://www.instagram.com/p/CSd4gM2FIeK/?utm_medium=copy_link Another image of my current stay - where I happen to have a 40inch screen in the hotel room.
