OnePlus is reversing their stance on merging ColorOS and OxygenOS https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-milestone-2021-and-new-updates-for-2022.1549522/
"Back in September, we announced the codebase for both OxygenOS and ColorOS would merge with the goal of creating one unified and upgraded operating system for both brands globally. While OxygenOS and ColorOS will continue to be developed on the same codebase – to allow for faster updates and better build quality – OxygenOS and ColorOS will remain independent brand properties. This new course was taken in accordance with feedback from our Community – we understand users of OxygenOS and ColorOS want each operating system to remain separate from each other with their own distinct properties "

OnePlus 10 durability is bad, but they haven't released it in India yet (where they used to release their flagships first!), so not sure if I'd trust OnePlus in any way now.
f
Yes. I am still waiting to see if they actually keep up with their update schedule, quality, etc.

S22/Plus reviews for Exynos variant are yet to show up but the hardware and camera results look promising if one is to stay within Android.
g
S22 is shipping with Snapdragon in India no?
f
Well, they haven't mentioned it clearly on Amazon page but international reviews did mention about Exynos version in existence. Also, SD1 heating issues are a thing so might as well see what Exynos does.
Their preorder page mentions "our fastest chip yet" https://www.samsung.com/in/smartphones/galaxy-s22/buy/
I've pre ordered, but the delivery date is April 3rd 😕
f
S22 Ultra or regular? as on Amazon it says March to be launch date
d
FYI - the SD1 chip is most probably made by Samsung as well. S22 Exynos might actually be better in this case based on past trend.

@flat-morning-91037 Regular S22 from Samsung's site (I had pre reserved for the pre booking 😬) So Smart Tag + Free Galaxy Buds + 5k HDFC + 2k referral discount.
f
Oh nice, definitely worth the wait then. 😂

Wasn't Galaxy Buds 2 found to be causing serious ear infections due to some kind of metal coating they were using?
