Anyone using Xcode/Android Studio on Macbook pro (M1 Pro) with 16 GB Ram? Is 16 GB enough in latest M1 Pro? The offline store near me only has default configurations with 16 GB RAM readily available. Customizing it to 32 GB takes atleast 1-2 week and from apple site it is showing 3-4 weeks to deliver 😞

My wife has M1 Pro MBP that she uses for data engineering, and while 16 GB RAM is sufficient for most tasks, and macOS is better with managing RAM too that you may be fine with Xcode, but IntelliJ being a Java based IDE, I wouldn't trust it in a long term, whatever mac you buy, you'll likely use it for 3-4 years so better get a spec that lasts longer for you.

+1 to this^ If 16 GB is not abundant right now, you'll definitely feel the need for 32 GB in two years' time. Easier to wait for 32 GB now than sell of the 16 GB one for a 32 GB later. It's my reasoning behind waiting 7 weeks for a 32 GB upgrade. 🥲
