Omgg me too planning for second monitor and wanted to start searching this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion, looks very nice

I remember someone mentioned in an old thread that it's best to get a 4K monitor at 27 inches. I am planning to buy a second monitor too. Waiting for suggestions to drop in here.

At this price, you would get a 4K 60Hz. For me, frame rate > resolution. I’m currently using 27” 2K and the image is sharp enough

I bought this 3 months ago LG 68.58 cm (27 inch) 4K-UHD (HDR 400 variant). I like it. It costed me around 31k back then after discounts.

https://www.amazon.in/PHILIPS-276E8VJSB-Ultranarrow-Multiview-94/dp/B092DDWT5F/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=philips+4k&qid=1649451970&sr=8-3 This is what I use daily. It’s 4k and works really well with a macbook. Doesn’t have inbuilt speakers, that’s the only drawback.

And it’s not very costly. Rs.500 + 5% Amazon Pay Credit Card Cashback. Or wait for a 10% bank offer.

@faint-energy-11966 For me, 4k at 32 was much better. This guy is slightly eccentric, but he's done his research.

@faint-energy-11966 i got 27" 4k monitor to use it along with my m1 air, its been 2 months+, so satisfied with it, no complaints! its LG one and Flipkart had better pricing. Here is the link https://www.flipkart.com/lg-27-inch-4k-ultra-hd-led-backlit-ips-panel-monitor-27ul850[…]s_LfE3AudC-FshdnVLhHvQUJ4wVyMsMbzUaAn2zEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Screen res and picture quality are perfect! I wanted secondary monitor with usb-c so it can reverse charge my m1 air and also have extra usb ports on it so i can use it as a hub to compensate my almost portless m1 air. I was also considering dell U2720Q which also has similar specs but with better speakers + more ports. The price diff was quite high and was out of stock at that time.

Noob question - Will a 4K monitor stress the laptop GPU?
d
If you game on it, select lower resolution
f
Nope. I don't game on my laptop. So a 27inch 4k monitor should be fine? Don't know if refresh rate matters for day to day work?

I got this a month back at ₹25K. It's been excellent so far. Using it for work, not gaming. LG Ultragear 80 cm (32 inches) QHD (2K) Gaming Monitor with 144Hz,1ms, Radeon Freesync, Display Port, HDMI x 2-32GK650 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07FLGR2PN
