Hey, I've been fighting with Samsung customer care regarding Overheating of my new S22. I first submitted my phone to service center 13 days after I got it. They deleted everything, just did a software reset and said everything is fine. Once I started using it again after some time, the same issues started happening and the phone started getting really hot near top left corner. So I went to the service center and they said they can't do a handset replacement and can only do a board replacement. I asked them to escalate the issue and they service center asked to call the customer care. They were not at all helpful and said the same thing, confirming the issue and saying they will only do a board replacement. I found their "Mail the CEO" option and mailed them, got a callback next day, said they'll prioritize the issue, etc. But after a week, they said there is no issue with the phone, just take it back, they won't do anything. This is after transferring my data and apps back and forth multiple time while submitting my phone. I have video proof of phone showing extreme temperature (119.7F): https://youtube.com/shorts/fZZIq82u0EA and audio clips of the service center confirming issue and ordering a board replacement: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PIWlpBMHto6z9s3Z6gj2BvZhs96WTx4- They just called me and said I can go to court or do anything I want, they won't do anything. What should I do?

is this worth your time? after all the hours spent so far to resolve this unsuccessfully and then the time to find an alternate phone, will it be worth it to pursue a case against them? not saying you cannot but at some point, the cost-benefit of all options need to be done. also, you didnt say what you were using it for. if you used it as a hotspot, then the temperature may be warranted but if its normal use, i would say chuck it and move on.

These temps are after just calling for 35mins. I'd be okay if it was after gaming or benchmarking, etc. But if I can't speak to someone for 30min without the phone heating upto 120 degree on my face, that's something they should acknowledge right? I'm looking for options that are more consumer friendly like https://consumerhelpline.gov.in than filing a court case.
If they won't even acknowledge a problem with video proof (that their service center initially confirmed), what is the warranty worth? Really glad I didn't pay 10k extra for their "extended warranty".

You make valid points and I came across these sites https://www.onlinelegalindia.com/services/consumer-complaint/ and https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/ which I have not used or dont have any opinions about. Short of that, you can make a noise via FB and Twitter to gather some support

Tweeted and filed a complaint on consumerhelpline.gov.in. It's more of a matter of principal than the cash. https://twitter.com/sidv42/status/1523649591740346372

Also quite a lot of comments regarding the S22 overheating, sad to see.

Its the case with a lot of flagships using the new 8th gen 1 chip

My friend is getting 7+ hours SOT on S22 though. I'm averaging 3-4 hours. The phone is occassionally just warm in the pocket too.

Any progress on this? I was planning to buy S22 but came across many reviews on Amazon with similar battery draining and overheating complaints

Adding to this, folks who have recently bought one of the s22 series, how is the performance? And are there any issues?
