Hi Tribe, This is for runners here. What apps/gadgets do you use to track your runs? Do you listen to music while running? Do you just run or also do some basic body weight exercises like push ups, squats etc? Also, in case, if you supplement your diet with protein, what are the recommendations? It would be good if folks could summarise their workout regime(and diet maybe). I'll go first. I hit a 2-3 km run every morning at a steady pace, followed by an upside down hang for 30 secs, further followed by squats, push ups and crunches(3 reps each), ending with some basic stretching.

I used to go for a run everyday but had to stop due to an ongoing construction. The pattern involved ~2.5 KM of brisk walk followed by ~1.5 KM of running (everyday, tracked using MapMyWalk). While doing brisk walk, I listen to podcasts, and while running my playlist. (Post the run, no other exercise) Now, I do intense exercise for around 15-20 min. This includes pushups, squats, plank, lunges, jumping jack, high stepping etc. in no particular order. There is a schedule which I follow to do a set of these exercises everyday. Not stringent on diet, but I avoid junk/oily food as much as I can (this doesn't mean I don't eat it at all). For lunch and dinner, usually I have proper diet (chapati, vegetable, rice, dal) or sometimes I just have fruits in lunch.

I have recently started running. Around 12-14 weeks ago. I use my smartwatch to track my runs. It uploads the data to Strava which I also use for tracking cycling workouts. I listen to EDM music while running. šŸ˜„ I take paneer and eggs to fulfil my protein needs. I'm pretty new to running and started with following the C25k plan first. Though, it turned out to be too overwhelming for me. So found another program called NoneToRun. It seems to be working well for me. No recommendations right now. Though, I'm interested to see what recommendations others might have when it comes to running.

No tracking. No music. Just enjoy listening rhythm of footsteps and breathing. šŸ™‚ Also, use Stretch Club Eat sprouts and fruits.

Nice. Do use comfortable and proper running shoes. From my side - • Tracking with Nike Run Club on Apple Watch. • No Music.

What apps/gadgets do you use to track your runs?
None. Just focus on the running. Unless you plan to go after Kipchoge's record.
Do you listen to music while running?
Nope. Just focus on the running.
It would be good if folks could summarise their workout regime(and diet maybe).
It's been a few years since I went running, but my routine was something like this each week. • 3 short runs (Mon Wed Fri) • 2 gym workouts (Tue Thu) • 1 long run (Sat) • Sundays off Diet was mostly about what NOT to eat/drink. No white/simple carbs, no sugars, no alcohols. Your body will need lots of protein.
