Hey folks, do you have any recommendation for libraries that can scaffold basic CRUD code over a MongoDB database with node?
Ideally it would generate code that I could modify - but if it does magic internally and provides APIs, that could work as well.
Haven't been able to "search" for these frameworks easily.

Hey Saurabh,
I have used Feathers Js https://feathersjs.com/ in the past.
It has some generators features which can fill a lot of boilerplate crud code in for you.
It also has "hooks" which lets you access middlewares in case you need to add custom logic.

Prisma.io. I used to work there, it is pretty cool :)

strapi does this quite well but there's a lot of magic going on there. It also gives you a full blown CMS (like django admin) though not as easily extensible.

https://github.com/hasura/graphql-engine if you can use postgres, this will give you a very useful graphql layer on top. This replaces the backend for most common use cases and gives you APIs
A tool I recently discovered to define and maintain your db schema https://github.com/ariga/atlas (Very alpha-stage though)
https://www.meteor.com/ if you need mongo and can work with typescript, this will help you build a thin backend. No codegen though.
