Anyone bought the iphone SE3? Is it worth saving 20k over the iphone 13?
n
iphone 11 at 40k is a better bet
g
depends. i have the 13 and the battery is superior, which will frustrate you with SE3. also, the cameras are better as the SE3 has only 1 and requires the A15 bionic to do its magic in photos. in that sense, its so much better than the 11. if in doubt, get the better one mostly.

In that case I'll wait till September.

se3 takes better pics than the 11? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

SE3 has the internals of the 13 iirc, which is why I'm comparing the two. @narrow-wolf-67039

Among the important things biggest downside is the screen. Just for that, I think the SE3 is overpriced. Have you seen a side-by-side at a store?
k
I've tried SE2 and 13.
I'm still in love with the form factor, owned an iPhone 7 before.

you havent told the use case yet @kind-queen-6796 so I would have said 13 mini as the middle ground. but really depends on whether you want the superior OLED screen than LCD and your budget
k
no gaming, no social media apps. I read a lot on the kindle app, reddit, a little media consumption on youtube. 13 mini looks like worth checking out. Just wish I could get it for cheaper right now.

You are paying a substantial time-premium buying anything now. Wait for the next drop and save money!

For long term use, it'd be best to get the 12 or 13 Mini. Because 5G is only available on iPhone 12 and beyond.
c
i have 12 mini and got it for 38k (flipkart), battery wise its good as compare to older iphones and charges fast comparatively, camera is also good , 5g is available so if you prefer one hand usage and small form factor than 12/13 mini is good ๐Ÿ˜Š

@kind-queen-6796 I have also used smaller devices only in past. iPhone 5 -> iphone 7 and currently iphone 12 mini. If you prefer this smaller form factor go for mini/SE. I have never compared battery cz most of the time I have my phone plugged to charger either on desk or in car when traveling for directions. So, smaller battery never bothered me much ๐Ÿ˜› But, I like small, lighter devices and its also easy to carry in pocket. My wife has iPhone XR and it feels really heavy to me after getting used to mini. So, I am happy that I didn't went with bigger devices cz only differentiator was battery size (12 vs 12 mini, 13 vs 13 mini) unless you go for pro devices for telephoto lens and cinematic mode.
g
do NOT buy the 12 mini; had it and it has terrible battery life, which is why it increased in 13 mini
o
It actually depends a lot on usage and preferences. I have no complains with my 12 mini and also it has slowly became my primary camera (heavy battery consumption scenario) during my travel and I only bother to take out my dslr in case of birding/wildlife photography. By the way, I am not proposing to go for 12mini but since Divyanshu has used smaller form factor devices and don't consume media a lot, he can go with any small form factor devices ๐Ÿ™‚

last year during diwali sale 12 mini was heavily discounted. I donโ€™t think same offer will be available again. also 13 mini is still not manufactured in india so it wonโ€™t get much discount.
