The one that I'm most concerned about in terms of privacy is my email. And it's the most difficult to self-host, especially with gmail's ever increasing zeal to mark everything spam 😅

@dry-monkey-93718 While it doesn't give you 100% control, you can consider a soft switch - having your own domain with your email @ domain pointing to gmail. This is of course until you figure out how to self host yourself. IMO it's easier and you can switch to some other email provider in case google blocks your account.

Yep. That's what I have. My own domain with Google workspace setup. Concern isn't the pain of setup in self hosting as much as it's the fear of: • Missing important emails. • Getting spam filtered.
