Does anyone here use an UltraWide monitor? I am considering getting a 29/34inch ultrawide vs a 27inch monitor. But not sure whether Windows handles unique aspect ratios properly.

It works good for me. I’m using windows 11 now, and as far I remember, windows 10 also used to do a good job. Most of the sites in Firefox used to be scaled properly. It doesn’t look good if you are using it as a mirror display, as long as you are using it as an additional display it works fine. I use a mac daily as well, didn’t notice too much of a difference between both other than performance.

29 inch would be quite small , it would a height similar to a 22-24 inch monitor, since you are coming form a 27 inch monitor go for 34 inch.

https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07R5R9VR9/ I have been using this for two years now. My only suggestion is to go for at least 34 inch. 29 inch is too small. 34 inch 21:9 has the same height as 27 inch 16:9. Comparison: 1. 34 inch (21:9) vs 27 inch (16:9). http://www.displaywars.com/27-inch-16x9-vs-34-inch-21x9 2. 29 inch (21:9) vs 27 inch (16:9). http://www.displaywars.com/27-inch-16x9-vs-29-inch-21x9

Thanks for suggestions everyone. I am going for a 34 inch flat ultrawide. Don't think curved monitor is needed.

@thousands-morning-63911 Could you please explain what issues you are facing?

@faint-energy-11966 So your laptop’s resolution would be mostly 1920 x 1080 (i.e 1080p) on windows, whereas the monitor would have a higher resolution or same resolution with less ppi. Both would suck while mirroring displays as either you would get black bars on sides or display on your laptop is stretched and pasted on to the display as opposed to being scaled. Keep in mind this is only while mirroring.

Has anyone experienced neck or eye fatigue with ultrawide monitors?
