Hi tribe, anybody has experience getting repaired the damaged body of a Dell(or any other) laptop? The hinge is damaged and it partially broke some of the surrounding plastic structures. Though the laptop is working fine, it's risky to fold/unfold it due to its deformed shape and I'm forced to use it as a desktop now 😆 Asking because the nearest store is ~40km away and they aren't reachable by phone. Would like to know if it is even worth it 😄

Been there, done that, twice. I would suggest you to change the base asap or ask the technician to loose the hinges. They are too tight. Eventually it would damage the power socket and maybe motherboard

Diy is doable. Hinge replacements are common and easy. Worth a visit if you don't want to open up stuff.
