Hey folks, Grafana Labs is a remote first company and hiring for backend, fullstack and UX roles: https://grafana.com/about/hiring There are also a couple of roles open for sales and support engineering that are remote friendly. We're the company behind the popular Grafana project with a strong focus on open-source and being open. We have a lot of problems at scale and you can see our open-source projects here: github.com/grafana I've been working at Grafana for more than an year now and we're growing incredibly fast and the focus on culture and work/life balance is insanely good.

Where do the CEO & CTO work out of? There's something around open-source that I'd like to discuss with them.

The CEO works out of the US while the CTO works out of Australia 🙂

I went through the link and instantly felt the love. And especially this sentence is 🔥 We are very family friendly (lots of us have kids). We are working towards being a remote-first company and if you are located in our office in Stockholm (or Berlin), working from home is both common and encouraged I'm very glad that these types of companies are evolving. During my college days, I never thought this would even exist when the companies would come to interview only those studious bookworms who has paperback = '' and I felt bad of myself all the time.

Hah, well I have several stories to tell. But I'd just say my manager noticed me working too much and stopped reviewing my code until I got myself a "hobby that doesn't involve a screen". I've picked up cycling due to that and recently did my first 100KM. Having said that, I think most European companies are like this. Atleast the two companies I've worked for (other being CoreOS) were like this.
