Any of the portfolio companies you are aware of?
c
Automattic is one. Someone in my network has tried and had to say good things about it. Let me know if you are gonna give it a try.

No comment on the effectiveness of the website though. Just cracked me up after seeing the image.

@calm-grass-85557 how are they vetting talent?
c
Hey Avi, Honestly I don't have an answer for that. I was hoping that some folks from the community could use it and share some feedback.

I see. Thanks for sharing btw. It looks to me that they don’t vet the candidates heavily, they just do a phone call and that’s it.

@rough-autumn-89795 There is a phone call in which the questions are mostly around Remote working. No technical questions. Like you said, lightly vetted. You are then matched with companies that make sense for you and then the companies take it forward. It helps get your foot in the door (a bit). Earlier, they would charge you $49 before the interview but now I think they have now moved it to post interview.
Ah it seems they have stopped taking in new registrations. (Just checked now)

Thanks @loud-glass-33663. Yes, it is still better than nothing. It would be interesting to know the company satisfaction with their hires. But I think it's possible to screen a talent in 30 mins. I won't be surprised if companies are actually satisfied with their hires.

@calm-grass-85557 I am surprised that Automattic is using this. Most of the big remote-first companies mention that they do not work with recruiters
l
Hi @many-minister-78351 I think that may be true for recruiters reaching out to you directly versus someone they hire. For example, I have been to a post on Automattic's website: https://automattic.com/work-with-us/software-engineer/ (Didn't find the recruiter bit)
