So, an interesting observation that I wanted to share. May help you. (sounding like a Whatsapp forward already?) Anyways, so I was having pathetic load times with PrintsToday. 16 seconds for a single page site. 🤯 The issue was ofcourse I had WP + Avada (theme) which is super heavy and hosting on my "unlimited" dreamhost VPS box. I usually move projects to LightSail on AWS (Mumbai) if the project starts working, but its too much of a hassle - especially with the LetsEncrypt thing I need to manually setup to renew 😕 So out on a whim, just decided to move to Cloudflare (Free) and throw on the
WP Fastest Cache
(I had Automattic's default caching plugin earlier) Lo and behold - that 16 seconds down to 5 seconds and on GTMetrix, moved from an F to an A. I know eventually I need to clean this up and do it properly - but buys me some time. I had used Cloudflare years ago and it didn't make a lot of difference speed wise - but it has come a long way. So, something to keep in mind for a quick hack to improve speeds - especially if you have a static-ish site.

can try WP + Elementor Basic + Ocean WP ( vanilla theme or some free templates). I’m not sure if that solves your website functionality requirement, but the setup seems quite light to me.
https://imageoptim.com/mac I use this for image compression with least quality loss, and this tool is really good. Reduces the size by 80% while maintaining similar image quality. You adjust also the compression level.

Thanks @crooked-daybreak-310 . Both excellent points. I'll definitely spend sometime optimising this. The issue is that I already know my way around Avada so just buy a new license to get started quickly. But it's time I spent evaluating simpler themes. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏
