I've recently hired a few freelancers, who are working remotely on a time-basis payment. What tool is most helpful to manage time seamlessly with them?
(a) I don't want to monitor what they're doing but want them to track time efficiently.
(b) Currently I've created a google sheet but it feels slightly inefficient, esp. because I'll need to create different time-trackers for everyone.

The rule with freelancing is - you agree with the freelancer on when something gets done and how many hours it will take and get out of the way. Asking for periodic check-ins is okay to make sure there’s no surprises. Asking what they’re doing at a certain point in time is not.
Time tracking is you just micromanaging their time. Most freelancers do what they do because they want to own their time. If they slept for 2 hours in-between the assigned task, its still okay as long as the first 2 parameters are met!

@white-portugal-53510 I do freelance stuff & can agree with @straight-continent-34777, few projects i did was purely based on timeline, me & client both agreed on fixed timeline, no any screenshot or time tracking was there.
