📣 Hey <!everyone>, I wanted to have members serendipitously talk to each other and build meaningful connections. So we started the buddy-calls initiative, which worked well, but then I became the bottleneck. Thankfully, the good folks at Donut have come to the rescue and offered a one free year of paid subscription. So now we have a very friendly and useful Slack bot that pairs folks randomly and nudges them to have a conversation 🎉 Currently, I have set up 3 channels with very different intents and frequencies 🔁 🔹#mentorship - Make introductions between mentor/mentee (every 4 weeks) 🔹#wfh-buddies - Introduce WFH pros to remote newbies for bonding and support (every 2 weeks) 🔹 #donut-be-strangers - It’s an opportunity for human connection through an open-ended chat (every 2 weeks) ✨👉 If any of the objectives resonate with you, then please join the respective channel(s) before the pairing happens on Thursday at 10 am ⏰ Let's see how this goes.
