Here's how it typically goes: if a feature costs 100$ but gives 80$ value, no company will do it. They're being rational. But FOSS means that there are probably 10 other companies deriving the same 80$ value. So something that costs 100$, but generates 80$ x 10 = 800$ of value, doesn't get funded. Classic case of tragedy of the commons.

Will you give any credit to companies who come first and sponsor ? How do you plan to incentivise companies to be the first ?? Or is there a different model at play ?? I got my answer after rereading your intro post 🙏🏼
Have you heard of these guys -> https://www.codecuriosity.org/

Yeah, there are multiple bounty sites like this. But as a tech CTO, I'd have paid for an agency which commits to some sort of SLA before shelling out money.

That makes a lot of business sense 👍🏼
Good luck !! I hope you find someone really good (and soon enough) to take this project to the next level 🙌🏼
Keep us posted 🙂

Yeah, this is intended to be a remote org from day 1. For our first project, we found a good clojure dev. She was able to work only because we were okay with remote. 🙂 win-win!
