I tried signing up for Transferwise but I think it was not available for India. About the bank wire transfer, O receive multiple payments of the range about ~$300, and my client asked inquired to their bank and it is charging them $50. So doesn't make much sense. Will try signing up for Transferwise again, their fee is really low. Thanks.

We can receive payments using Transfer wise in India but other features are not available. Your client has to create an account on Transferwise to send payment and activate the account.

only the client need have Transferwise account if you only want to receive funds, you dont have to signup at your side. You can just share your bank details which the client can setup in his/her TW account. Sending money from India via TW is not available yet.
