I've only worked from one coworking space in India so far in Bangalore. I'm interested in understanding if other community spaces have a community feel to them. Pockets of people (employees of the same company) engage with each other, but there seems to be less interaction between people that aren't working for the same company. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Possibly two reasons, 1. They’re just shy. 2. Could be busy working on something. Honestly, I’d just start a quick chat and see how they respond.

I had a similar experience in one co-working space based in Pune. Most of the people were working for a smaller company. I could not find any individual remote developers. Maybe those smaller companies choose the co-working space as it is cheaper than renting out an office space.

I've had a couple of interactions with 3 folks from one company, they've been great so far.
Perhaps another part of it is that I've only been seen two or three times in the space. If I was there 3/4 days a week every week, it may be a different story.

Yeah. Familiarity is a good. It makes you comfortable.

I work out of 91springboard in Blore. There definitely is a community "feel" here (lots of networking events, foosball/ping-pong tables, messaging app, foodie/book clubs etc). However: 1: not everyone participates. 2: not everyone is a freelancer. Many are employees in walled-up companies. Differing priorities.
