How do you politely leave a client where you are the only person working on a large project and it will take 6 months+ to complete?
n
Ideally, you help them find a replacement. Put them in touch with a few folks, or help them interview ๐Ÿ™‚

+1 to what @narrow-holiday-71282 said. Put them in touch with people who you know will do a good job. That way, youโ€™re helping both parties.

why do you want to leave btw?

Thanks @narrow-holiday-71282 and @helpful-raincoat-87337. @able-smartphone-4504 Limited room for growth. The work is adding patches to a legacy codebase (front end built on jQuery) which is a nightmare to work with. So not learning much industry-needed skills here.

I miss the good old days of jQuery. Pulling your hair out first thing in the morning because you were asked to fix a bug on something someone else wrote two years ago. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

@helpful-raincoat-87337 that's so true, I can relate to it a lot ๐Ÿ˜
