What are some alternatives to gsuite for setting up company/custom email? Also does gsuite "basic" plan have a minimum number of users requirement?
l
Hey @magnificent-solstice-42554 No - the basic plan can be set with even 1 user. I had used zoho (free) a few years ago - not sure if they still have 5 emails free - but recently have switched to using GSuite. The 250 odd bucks / month / user is worth it IMO. (Search for a discount. The first year you can get a good discount)

Thanks @loud-glass-33663. Will gsuite basic require a GSTIN? I'm guessing no, correct?
l
Require? No. It is optional.

Thanks

We use office 365

Gsuite is the best investment you will ever make and it has MEET (>>> hangouts) for video calls, amazing google tasks and calendar sync up and great business feel Professional email is a MUSt in business that I ignored in 1st year of business - highly recommended
I'd be happy to share coupon codes I get from them too

True. Agree with @swift-pilot-25722 Many years ago, we dabbled with setting up our own servers and also looked at other mail services (like GoDaddy) which is cheaper - but emails not delivering is a big no-no. This happened quite a bit. So for the price of a coffee, getting reliable email / month is totally worth it.

Office 365 is a no-go for me.
I've used Gsuite standard(?) in the past. But it required minimum 5 users. Looks like the GSuite basic thing is new. Will give it a try.

Zoho gives custom domain email for free. But I believe itโ€™s limited to 1 email per domain. Then you pay like $1/user/mo.

@magnificent-solstice-42554 that comment about connecting only godaddy domains with office365 looks strange. All you need is to setup MX records in the DNS. you should be able to do it with any domain registrar.

You can link custom domains to Yandex mail and AFAIK it does not have have any limits on the number of email ID. And best of all, its free.
