Hello! I finally got accepted on upwork instantly after just a minor update to my profile yesterday. I have been trying this since 2017 😅🤩

Haha, actually I was missing a good profile picture, but more importantly it's all about writing a good profile copy and adding a mix of skills that doesn't look like heavily competitive @abundant-jackal-54634 I used to add skillsets related to web development and design but upwork was already overflowing with freelancers of such skillset and I found it hard to overcome their acceptance criteria But over past 1.5years I got experienced building websites in webflow. So I changed all of my profile copy to

webflow developer

, luckily there wasn't enough competition for webflow. My profile got accepted as soon as I clicked 'submit'. 😇 Boom 🤪

Same thing with me as well. I applied again on Upwork after @fancy-oyster-4714 suggested me to give it another try. Have even got into interview rounds of the proposal sent with the first set of available credits. I feel that I have started with a better strategy this time.

They were strict in profile approval earlier but now seems to have become bit lenient. That's my experience. @acceptable-summer-68562

How long did it take? i just withdrawn 3 proposals and sent 2 proposals and got a warning that my connects are low

I’m not sure if the connects are refunded if you yourself withdraw the proposal . I got thesee refunded after either upwork withdrew the project due to inactivity or client him/herself withdrew it. If it was to be refunded, refund should have done at the same time.

You'll not get refund in that case @creamy-dawn-73235. Upwork has recently announced that if job is getting closed without any hires, You're connect will be credited in your account.
