From nomadlist founder and he's been talking about isolation and quarantines from last 2 months before the world adopted it - Peter ------- stuff you can help educate around your friends/family: • a large part of of spread is asymptomatically, first 5 days before symptoms you're spreading it • that means a lot of spreading is simply through breathing the same air as others (!) • that's why wearing mask is important even if you're not sick, it stops spreading it from your breathing • when you're cured you still spread it: you do for up to 2 weeks after having no symptoms • it can stay on surfaces for many days; also in air for up to 3 hours • washing with soap is VERY effective, it breaks off the edges of the virus, some say better than desinfectant/alcohol etc. might be an idea to wash off / desinfect packages you receive (and wear mask and rubber gloves if u can when receiving packages) • it doesn't just affect old and weak "one-fifth of infected people ages 20-44 have been hospitalized, including 2%-4% who required treatment in an intensive care unit." • many treatments are being trialed now and the coming months might tell us what works or not, lot of ppl mention a malaria med called chloroquine which looks promising, but they need to test, also vaccine being tested now on first human this week, let's hope p.s. i'm not talking out of my ass, i've been following for 8 weeks now and repeatedly what me and my friends learn from experts online (and double check etc) turns out to be adopted 2 weeks after by CDC's in countries etc. just wanted to share the things most sure off (edited)
