This is something I want to ask to everyone. When working from home these days, we are using some tool to connect with people in remote locations. These are the few I already know 1. Zoom 2. Google Hangouts 3. Skype Everytime we use each/one of them, we kind a like some special feature from it. I want to ask everyone of which tool they use and the feature which seperates them from the others making it certain for usage by many others.

Good question @boundless-byte-71054 We end up using Zoom mostly in my office. Two features - the virtual backgrounds (though Team has it now as well) is good - especially with Video if you have a good processor. We have been having some fun with it in our standups. The other Zoom killer feature is Breakout Rooms (though we havenโ€™t used it as much) โ€” but that is an extremely potent feature if used well.

We ended up blacklisting Zoom in our company. Due to its security vulnerabilities. Been using Google Meet.

Skype has worked well for all these years for me, and it continues to do so. Remote != Video calls. Been exploring and using Jitsi lately, primarily for its security, transparency, and ability to self-host.

@acceptable-flag-71699 Thanks!
@echoing-sugar-95154 Here's the link to a Readme that I've put together. Added support and documentation for Terraform Cloud today. Doesn't need to be executed locally anymore. My objective was to have a disposable/ephemeral videoconferencing infrastructure that could be spawned only when required. Saves costs and hosts it on a fresh subdomain each time via AWS Route53. Currently supports AWS only. Planning to add support for other cloud providers soon. https://github.com/mavenik/jitsi-terraform/blob/master/aws/Readme.md

We recently started using Tandem in my company. Will never go back to Zoom!
