Hi @swift-london-82344. Congratulations! I think the right question is: “How important is remote experience for my next remote job? Does it matter and how much?” Your original question, I don’t think anyone can help you out directly with - as it is your call to take. (How difficult was it to get a job? What area is it in? Can you get another job easily? How less is the salary? etc etc). Too many variables.

You have two goal horizons, short term and long term. Long term: Does it look like this job will help you grow? Growth occurs in many areas: personal skill in your profession, collaborative skills, communication, networking and expanding the circle of people you know Short term: Do I need this job right now? Can I take the salary hit? Will I enjoy working here? Quite often, short term needs are urgent "I need a job right now, or else ..." or "I need a salary increase to pay the EMI..." etc. If you have an urgent need, think short term. If not, think long term.
About salary cuts: It's okay to take less salary sometimes in exchange for other nicer things, but never twice in a row. If you take a job that pays you less than market, make sure the next one you take puts you back in the right bracket.

One last thing: Deeply consider whether having a less salary (in your opinion) will be on your mind as you work everyday, or when the salary comes. If it does, it will hamper you.

As @victorious-energy-56764 says, it is ok to take a pay cut for nicer things and give it some weight e.g. no commute leading to improved quality of life (10%), more time for side projects or family (10%), gaining experience in remote work for better opportunities (5%), more flexibility in planning your hours e.g. afternoon visits to gym, groceries, banks, etc. when they're not full (5%). Quite often people just compare in absolute salary terms when in fact remote work also leads to other kinds of savings e.g. you don't need to update your work attire that often :-)
