Does your bank impose minimum balance for current (corporate) accounts? Some of the requirements seem a bit ridiculous, so just wanted to double check ......

It's all negotiable. And it helps to become a "preferred customer" by moving a big chunk of your (and your family's) banking to one bank. The limits then apply across all your accounts, investments, fds, RDs, etc. I keep most of my accounts in one private bank and one account in a public-sector bank.

Right - all negotiable. My ICICI current account requires no minimum balance.

Thanks! Let me talk with the branch manager again then. Will renegotiate. @helpful-gigabyte-47939: When you say 'limits apply across all accounts', does you mean personal/savings account also? Or just current/corporate accounts?

@magnificent-solstice-42554 Across ALL your accounts. In my case, wife, mom, dad's accounts are all under one family group along with my current and savings accounts. So they all enjoy the same benefits around reduced charges for services, lower limits and so forth. When you say corporate, you don't mean a LLP or Pvt Limited, right? Those are not included because they typically have partners, etc and different requirements

Perfect. Let me look into similarly consolidating under one bank. Good suggestion.
