Hi everyone, what will be a good external webcam suggestion to put on a laptop? My laptop's webcam isn't good at all, and I plan to take some online classes soon, so thinking to upgrade.

I had paid 6K for it then. Some of the prices shown are crazy 😕 Definitely not worth the 18-20K for newer models.

I use the microsoft lifecam hd-6000 on my desktop. Gave up trying to order on amazon. Asked a local shop to source it for me. Have not been happier. The quality of the camera and the onboard mic is superb!

@wide-twilight-82330 how do you stream input from droid cam to zoom or google meet( basically make a virtual video device so that these apps can recognise them)

It creates a virtual device. There's a PC application you've to install. Then launch it with configuration (IP / port)

@creamy-diamond-50853 just keep a note if your phone heats while using camera, you should consider using a dedicated camera if your phone heats up during camera use for extended periods of time (since you are doing online classes). Because the heat is likely to have detrimental effects on the camera & other components of the phone.
