DIY Cable protector: 2 years back I created these cable protector, and they have kept my fragile cables in good shape. All you need: 1. Empty ballpoint/gel pen refills/cartridge 2. Pencil Sharpener. Steps: Take an empty pen refill, make sure it is completely empty, run the refill through the pencil sharpener, from the other end of the sharpener the refill will turn out as spring. Thats it you are done, clean the refill spring from the inside and coil it around you cables.

Has this happened to anyone EXCEPT on the Apple cables?

One of my friends from college used to use the spring from those clicky ball pens for the same. Apple cables 🤷‍♂️

Don’t tell this to apple, they’ll find a way to monetise this as well 😄

Actually i got the idea from the clicky ballpoint pen’s spring one of my colleague was using it, and i thought we can make our own spring from empty refills, in school we used to this for fun and some creativity.
